VISIT THE MANSION

Meet the Artist Series

November 14th and 21st

We are pleased to invite you to a new series of receptions to meet some of the artists that we exhibit at the Governor’s Mansion.  At each evening reception, you will meet and hear the artists discuss their works. In addition, you will be able to view the Mansion’s broad collection of museum art and historic furnishings reflecting cultural heritages of New Mexico’s rich history. Docents will be present to answer questions.

In November we are holding two receptions:

  • On Thursday, November 14, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., we will feature globally known New Mexico artist and sculptor George Rivera and his sculpture Buffalo Dancer.

  • On Thursday, November 21, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., we will feature four works of internationally known artist Dan Namingha, contemporary sculptor Arlo Namingha and mixed media photographer Michael Namingha.

There is no charge and refreshments and light appetizers will be served.

Reservations are required and attendance is limited. To secure your place at either reception, please call or email Mansion Director Mary Brophy at 505-476-2800 or Mary.Brophy@gsd.nm.gov.

The New Mexico Governor’s Mansion is located in Santa Fe at One Mansion Drive, off of Bishop’s Lodge Road, 1 ½ miles north of the plaza.
